PiroTech Bioenergy Hub PSA is an advanced industrial project that combines waste recycling, green fuel production, and CO₂-reduction technologies. The facility integrates pyrolysis, hydrotreating, CO₂ capture, and e-methanol synthesis, creating a circular refinery aligned with the European Green Deal and the RED III directive.
Our Mission
PiroTech addresses the growing challenge of managing
end-of-life tires by converting them into valuable energy and chemical feedstocks. The project supports the circular economy and the development of low-emission technologies, delivering certified, high-value products to the market.
What Do We Produce?
TPO Premium
purified pyrolysis oil produced through hydrotreating, with quality accepted by refineries and the chemical industry (including Orlen, TotalEnergies, BASF).
e-Methanol
synthetic methanol produced from RFNBO green hydrogen and captured CO₂; a key low-emission fuel for maritime transport and industry.
rCB – recovered carbon black
a material with a significantly lower carbon footprint, used in the rubber, cement, and plastics industries.
PiroTech Technologies and Their Environmental Impact
PiroTech’s technology is based on the integration of four processes: solid pyrolysis, hydrotreating, CO₂ capture, and e-methanol production. Pyrolysis enables the recovery of valuable fractions from rubber waste, while hydrotreating increases the quality of TPO, turning it into a fully usable feedstock for industry. The CO₂ capture system reduces process emissions by approx. 90% and then uses the captured carbon dioxide as a feedstock for e-methanol synthesis, closing the carbon loop and significantly reducing the environmental footprint of the plant.
PiroTech – The Refinery of the Future
PiroTech is a comprehensive next-generation biorefinery model, where waste recycling merges with green fuel production and emissions-neutral technologies. A key element is the R&D center, responsible for the quality control of TPO, rCB, and e-methanol, as well as for the development of innovations such as enhanced hydrotreating, catalysis, and Power-to-X integration. Thanks to this, PiroTech sets a new direction for an industry based on circularity, high efficiency, and low-emission production.
